Achievements
Achievements are the core record-keeping unit in Oak-Ed. Each achievement captures a completed learning milestone for a specific learner, tagged by subject, and optionally linked to a lesson or AI generation.
Logging an Achievement
Click Log Achievement on the Dashboard, or go to Achievements and click Add Achievement. Fields:
| Field | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Learner | Who completed the milestone |
| Description | What was achieved — a sentence or short paragraph |
| Tags | Subject areas covered |
| Linked Lesson | Optional: link to a lesson in the Lesson Bank |
| Linked AI Log | Optional: link to the AI generation that produced the lesson |
| Date | Defaults to today; can be backdated |
Viewing Achievements
Go to Achievements to see the full log. Filter by learner or tag to review progress in a specific area.
Linking to Lessons
Linking an achievement to a lesson creates a two-way connection: you can see which achievements came from a lesson, and which lessons contributed to a learner's progress.
Linking to AI Logs
If a lesson was AI-generated, linking the achievement to the AI interaction log preserves the full audit trail — the prompt sent, the response received, and the resulting achievement.
Reports
The Reports section can generate a summary of achievements over a date range. See the sidebar for the Reports page.
